SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP FOR RESEARCH PROGRAM 2020

The Cooperation Office is pleased to inform about the summer research program of the University of Delaware intended to attract talented students as potential Ph.D. candidates to do research in Delaware from June 15th to August 14th, 2020.

This program is primarily intended for outstanding undergraduate students in their final year, Faculty Members with Master's degrees, and senior-level Master's degree students near graduation, interested in pursuing Ph.D. studies abroad.

Areas of Study:

The following areas of study will be accepted:

Electrical and Computer Engineering(www.ee.udel.edu)

Computer Science (www.cis.udel.edu)

Civil and Environmental Engineering (www.ce.udel.edu)

Mechanical Engineering (www.me.udel.edu)

Chemistry & Biochemistry (http://www.chem.udel.edu)

Physics and Astronomy (http://web.physics.udel.edu/)

Terms of the Scholarship:

1- The visiting scholars (or their home institution) would cover their transportation and Visa costs.

2- Through the program, the University of Delaware & hosting Faculty Members will provide approximately $1800/month stipend for the Visiting Scholars to cover their costs of living in Delaware.

Application Process:

1- The applicants should prepare a short 2-page resume (CV) including your GPA. If the applicant has research publications, a maximum of 2 can be attached. However, research publications are not required.

2- The applicant should prepare a 1-page cover letter describing his/her research interests (please be as specific as possible) and identify up to 3 Faculty Members at the University of Delaware with similar research interests.

3- By February 1st, 2020, the applicant should complete the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/bmqTyHjFiTgQYef39 where all the above information will be required to be uploaded on a single pdf.
